About The Position

Aid and support all aspects of Bookstore operations and maintain positive customer service to Bookstore staff, college faculty and staff members, students, and local patrons. Provide general Bookstore information and sales support, maintain the sales floor, handle customer inquiries and complaints, and operate a cash register.

Requirements

  • Mid-level support role.
  • Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
  • Requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, and cover letter.
  • Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with purchases and perform cashiering duties.
  • Stock shelves and create barcodes/shelf tags for merchandise.
  • Answer general customer questions and de-escalate and resolve any complaints.
  • Assist other Bookstore departments with special projects related to ordering, price checks, and inventory.
  • Onboard and train new Bookstore clerks on Bookstore procedures.
  • Process returns, exchanges, inner-account transfers, and technology purchase transactions.
  • Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
  • Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
