Part Time - Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
About The Position
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and we are Hiring Now! This is a part-time role with flexible hours and no nights, offering 4-hour shifts. During the first and last week of each month, there is an opportunity to work up to 40 hours. Our Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside. Responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs and suggesting products, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily storage unit inspections, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments and collection calls.
Requirements
- Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.
- Experience from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies.
- A valid driver’s license
- Utilize own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
- Help keep customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris.
