About The Position

This role is responsible for providing a wide range of services and information related to products, pricing, availability, technical details, and customer support. While this is primarily a customer service role, we are seeking a hybrid candidate who can also assist with light warehouse picking within the Samples Department.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship and service skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic
  • Organized with the ability to track customer and reseller activities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software guides
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of direct experience in sales or telesales
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, and practices

  • Prior customer-facing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Comprehend customer needs (via conversation, architectural drawings, and written specifications) and recommend product configurations that meet those requirements
  • Provide pricing, quotes, product information, literature, samples, and support for customers
  • Process orders and arrange deliveries
  • Process product returns
  • Confirm customer information
  • Identify and close additional purchases of products and services
  • Respond to customer requests for information
  • Engage in technical discussions with customers
  • Promote solutions and services
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Stay knowledgeable on product changes and developments
  • Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
  • Inform customers of promotions and deals
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance the customer experience
  • Work with the Customer Service Manager to ensure excellent service delivery
  • Serve as an inside liaison to the outside sales team, including identifying potential future business relationships
  • Implement suggestions based on customer feedback (e.g., product enhancements, website improvements)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
