About The Position

A Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing administrative support for orders from receipt to delivery. This support includes receiving, entering, and updating customer orders as well as frequent communication with the production, quality, and shipping departments. Customer Service also works with outside vendors and suppliers to establish lead times and schedule/procure components and services. Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment.
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Written and oral communication skills including professional telephone, email, and in person communication.
  • Team-oriented, independent, and self-directed.
  • Filing and organizational skills – must be detail-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls, greeting visitors, filing.
  • Projecting a positive, friendly, helpful image to each customer, including external customers, internal customers and sales representatives.
  • Processing orders in compliance with established procedures.
  • Participating in order and production reviews with the manufacturing team.
  • Providing customers with certificates, proof of deliveries, lead time information, samples, etc.
  • Using tact and professional discretion when sharing difficult information, such as production delays or extended lead times.
  • Learning to navigate and download files from customer portals.
  • Assisting in other departments covering a wide range of office duties.
