Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ years of authorizations experience within healthcare
- Experience with patient registration and insurance verification experience in healthcare
- Ability using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs
- Ability to work full time onsite at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520
- Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm PST including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare and/or insurance billing or processing experience
- Experience working with insurance websites
- Customer service experience
- Ability to perform functions in Microsoft Excel (edit, filter, sort)
Responsibilities
- Performing insurance eligibility checks and obtaining pre-authorizations with Carriers, and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients
- Daily coordination with Hospital department contacts as part of Prior Authorization workflow
- Intermittent interaction with patients to resolve account issues
- Other duties as assigned
