Position Summary: Based in Huntington Park, CA the Customer Service Rep will perform essential job functions such as reviewing POs, managing shipment issues, maintaining daily job status updates, ensuring specimen quality, and preparing necessary documentation for job execution.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in customer service or related position
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Requires knowledge of computer applications and good understanding of basic math
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required

Responsibilities

  • Review all incoming purchase orders (POs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and flag discrepancies, coordinating with internal departments or customers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies related to incoming parts.
  • Correct job travelers and planning documentation when errors are identified.
  • Plan and initiate job folders, ensuring inclusion of all required documentation (e.g., technical plans, operation sheets, and related paperwork).
  • Identify and apply expedite fees or premium charges when applicable but not indicated on the PO.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain amended purchase orders when discrepancies or pricing adjustments are required.
  • Ensure job folders are prepared accurately and released to the shop floor in a timely manner to support production schedules.
  • Devise and manage method for reporting and communication “jobs on hold”; making sure to keep all interested parties updated on a daily basis.
  • Maintain information within system to ensure reporting is as accurate as possible.
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
  • Assist others as directed by Plant Manager including being a backup for Shipping/Receiving Clerk(s), as needed, to cover volume of work in certain areas. Follow all written instructions where provided, pack completed parts for shipping and unpack parts for processing.
  • Observe all Environment, Health and Safety Policy requirements.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
  • May have access to proprietary and third party information necessary to the business and as such will perform duties in an ethical and professional manner.
  • This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
