About The Position

Associated Grocers of New England has been feeding New England and growing careers since 1946. As the largest retailer-owned, wholesale distribution center in New England, AG knows how to best serve the needs of its unique customers. We are currently looking for a FT Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Five years' experience in a Customer Service-related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations including but not limited to high call volume and customer complaint resolution.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong typing and data entry skills with focus on accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Confer with internal and external customers by telephone to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, obtain details of issues.
  • Receive and respond to customer issues; interaction with other departments is crucial in helping to resolve issues.
  • Resolve customers' service or billing issues by performing activities such as issuing credits and pick-ups.
  • Coordinate cross dock processing.
  • Support customers with internet orders and solve issues to find the best solution.
  • File and maintain records according to the filing system used. Locate and remove material from file when requested.
  • May perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
