About The Position

The Customer Service Representative position at the City of Tucson’s Police Department engages with community members while providing exceptional customer service to members of the community and the department. They are responsible for the maintenance, verification, research, and analysis of impound vehicle releases and reports. Work is performed under the supervision of the Impound Lot Supervisor. This position does not supervise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience working in a municipality
  • Experience utilizing multiple software platforms, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with pertinent laws, rules, regulations, and administrative policy when responding to, in addition to processing and fulfilling, vehicle releases, alarm registrations and assessments.
  • Issues overweight/oversized permit applications for the City of Tucson.
  • Provides customer service by greeting customers, providing information, processing applications for service, responding to requests, handling problems and irate customers, researching inquiries and discrepancies, following up on complaints and concerns and coordinating and communicating with field personnel.
  • Performs clerical duties by preparing and maintaining files, records and logs, entering information in the computer system and copying, faxing and answering phones.
  • Manages accounts by accepting payments, preparing deposits, balancing accounts and preparing invoices for payment.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
