About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer support at a U-Haul center. The role works as part of a supportive team, helping customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatching and returning equipment using current technology, and inspecting and maintaining equipment. On-the-job education is provided, including ongoing training through U-Haul University. U-Haul offers paid working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of its Equipment Inspection and Verification certification program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. This position is located at 4400 University Dr NW, Huntsville, Alabama 35816. U-Haul states that, consistent with applicable state law, it will not hire or re-hire nicotine product users in Alabama and other listed states.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
