About The Position

Chevron Stations Inc. is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative who will cook, cashier, and clean! This is a part-time position with all shifts available, located at the Chevron Gas Station CSI #1159 in Portland, OR. The role involves maintaining customer service standards, ensuring station cleanliness, preparing food, handling transactions, and promoting store specials. The position requires adherence to safety, security, and food safety guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Sufficiently proficient in English to understand CSI policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and/or coworkers on work-related matters.
  • Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older to work in California and Oregon locations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Washington locations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work Graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Management positions.

  • Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines.
  • Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
  • Preserve safety of self, fellow employees, and others.
  • Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
  • Follow federal law and company standards on carding customers for age-restricted products.
  • Work professionally with vendors and contractors.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, greeting and thanking all customers.
  • Conduct all point-of-sale activities accurately and safely.
  • Maintain cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift.
  • Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities.
  • Prepare food and hot beverage products.
  • Manage foodservice and beverages to ensure maximization of sales and minimization of loss.
  • Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs.
  • Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy.
  • Distribute delivered goods and ensure shelves are full of products.
  • Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management.
