About The Position

The Customer Service Representative works as part of a supportive team to provide customer service at a U-Haul center. The role assists customers with U-Haul products and services, uses technology to dispatch and return equipment, and helps inspect and maintain equipment. On-the-job education and ongoing training through U-Haul University are provided. U-Haul offers paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification certification program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. In Florida, U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
In Florida, must not use nicotine products to be eligible for hire or re-hire.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
