The Customer Service Representative performs a broad variety of customer services such as opening new checking accounts, savings accounts, and certificates of deposit. This role assists customers with loan consultations, completing loan applications and closing specified consumer loans. The representative handles transactions and answers questions concerning services provided by the Bank from customers and branch staff. They also cross-sell Bank products and services to retain and enhance existing customer relationships. The position involves setting up wire transfers, direct deposits, performing a variety of account maintenance, and preparing letters and correspondence. Additionally, the representative operates a teller window whenever necessary to provide service to customers.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of progressively greater experience within the Bank to become familiar with the variety of customer services (cross-selling) and account options available
  • The interpersonal skills necessary to relate to and empathize with other people and to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor throughout the day
  • A thorough knowledge of available accounts and services offered
  • Proficient in the Teller and CSR applications
