About The Position

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for receiving, investigating, and responding to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, and complaints. This role also assists with product launches at all stages of the Concept to Manufacturing Process.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Data Interface Programs as required by our customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED (BS Preferred)
  • 10th Grade Math Level
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to clearly convey thoughts and ideas to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Research and solve customer discrepancies
  • Organize and plan all outbound shipments
  • Communicate with customers by phone concerning orders, returns, shipments and products
  • Maintain daily shipping logs
  • Call customers when necessary to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders
  • Initiate tracers with carriers
  • Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders
  • Initiate orders for replacements parts and/or for correcting errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.)
  • Always interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Obtain customer feedback information
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Communicates order status/issues to production daily
  • Deputy of Finished Goods inventory and FIFO pull system, regular cycle counts
  • Effective understanding of BAAN system, requirements, and work instructions
  • Resolve EOI issues/ensure accurate sales schedule compared to portals
  • Manage customer-specific supplier portals and all necessary electronic data responses.
  • Responsible for maintaining acceptable score on customer score cards (ie. Delivery Conformance, Response Conformance, Adjustment)
  • Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.
