About The Position

Chevron Stations Inc. is looking to hire a Customer Service Representative who will cook, cashier, and clean. This is a part-time position with all shifts available. The role involves providing exceptional guest service, conducting point-of-sale activities, maintaining cash drawers, cleaning facilities, preparing food and beverages, promoting store specials, and ensuring accuracy in delivered goods. The position also requires observing local laws regarding fuel dispensing in Oregon and may involve other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Sufficiently proficient in English to understand CSI policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and/or coworkers on work-related matters.
  • Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgement.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older to work in California and Oregon locations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Washington locations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work Graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Management positions.

  • Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Support and follow established safety, security, quality guidelines, and company policies.
  • Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately.
  • Preserve safety of self, fellow employees, and others.
  • Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
  • Follow federal law and company standards on carding customers for age-restricted products.
  • Work professionally with vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, greeting and thanking all customers.
  • Conduct all point-of-sale activities accurately and safely.
  • Maintain cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift.
  • Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities.
  • Prepare food and hot beverage products.
  • Manage foodservice and beverages to ensure maximization of sales and minimization of loss.
  • Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs.
  • Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy.
  • Distribute delivered goods in an orderly manner and ensure shelves are full.
  • Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel (Oregon only).
