About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Henderson, CO. This role involves taking inbound calls to handle customer concerns and questions, with a primary focus on processing and researching customer orders using the SAP computer system. The position may also involve making outbound calls to receive orders and research order progress. The Customer Service Associate will strive to research and resolve customer issues, collaborating with other departments to find answers and facilitate solutions. The role emphasizes using product knowledge, customer service tools, and sales skills to effectively serve customers professionally. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to key accounts, developing knowledge and support for the sale of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment. The representative will also advise customers on necessary equipment, materials, and procedures, and arrange for the delivery of cylinders and hard-goods.

Requirements

Customer service or sales experience.
Computer skills with comprehensive knowledge of computer order entry systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities with a follow up to completion focus.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to occasionally lift 25 - 80 lbs.
Ability to occasionally work overtime.

Nice To Haves

Sales or customer service for welding equipment and processes.
Some experience in handling compressed gases.

Responsibilities

Take inbound calls to field customer concerns and questions.
Process and research customer orders using the SAP computer system.
Make outbound calls to proactively receive orders.
Complete research about the progress of an order.
Research and solve customer issues.
Work closely with other departments to find answers and facilitate a complete solution.
Use product knowledge, customer service tools, and acquired sales skills to effectively service each customer in a professional manner.
Provide excellent customer service to key accounts.
Develop knowledge and provide support for the sale of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding supplies and related equipment to customers.
Advise customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform.
Arrange for delivery of cylinders and hard-goods.
