About The Position

U-Haul is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join their team as Customer Service Representatives at U-Haul of East Orange. In this role, you will be the face of U-Haul, providing exceptional service and ensuring customers receive the assistance they need for their journeys. Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining equipment, assisting customers, and using technology to dispatch and return equipment. This position offers on-the-job training, with the possibility to start immediately and get paid daily. U-Haul also provides a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of their U-Haul Certification Program at retail stores.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Applicants must be legally authorized to work and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
Sell and schedule hitches and wiring kits.
Other duties as assigned
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
