About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Customer Service Representative at Shag Bark Pet Retreat and Spa. This role is for someone who can make every client feel like a VIP (Very Important Pet-parent). The ideal candidate loves pets and people, and can juggle phones, customers, and the occasional muddy paw print. Destination Pet is a community that lives to elevate the love and lives of pet families, offering services such as day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services. Their goal is to make pets feel at home and their humans feel at ease.

Requirements

Must be a people-person and a pet-person.
Solid communication skills (phone, in-person, email).
Comfortable with multi-line phones and computer systems.
Ability to remain cool under pressure and maintain professionalism.
Problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ year of customer service experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in customer service or retail.
Charm of a customer service pro and the heart of a dog mom (or dad).

Responsibilities

Welcoming pet parents and their furry VIPs.
Answering phones with a smile in your voice and multi-tasking.
Touring new clients through the facility and selling services.
Ensuring up-to-date vaccinations are on file.
Managing check-ins and check-outs with efficiency and a personal touch.
Handling cash, cards, and balancing the end-of-day cash drawer.
Responding to complaints with patience and professionalism.
Escorting pet guests to and from their enclosures.
Keeping the lobby clean, welcoming, and ready for first impressions and sweet reunions.
Jumping in to support other team members whenever needed.
Other duties as assigned.
