About The Position

The Customer Service Representative acts as the utility’s first point of contact, providing exceptional and efficient service by assisting customers in person, by phone, and through computer based systems with service changes, billing inquiries, payment arrangements, and other utility services.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to use excellent human relations skills as a representative of the PUD.
  • Ability to exercise reasonable common sense and good judgment in the working environment.
  • Basic computer and technical skills.
  • Previous experience working in a customer service setting.
  • Accuracy in working detail is necessary.

  • Acts as the utility’s first point of contact.

  • Assists customers in person, by phone, and through computer based systems with service changes, billing inquiries, payment arrangements, and other utility services.
  • Develops proficiency in the core responsibilities of each customer service role to provide support when necessary.
  • Communicates in a clear, effective, and respectful manner with the general public.
  • Operates all types of electronic office equipment.
  • Manages time effectively and assumes a variety of responsibilities.
  • Works overtime when necessary.
