The Customer Service Representative represents the hospital and in all phases of patient’s account in a joint effort to resolve all patient amounts due in a feasible and amicable manner. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for accomplishing patient accounting duties assigned and designated by the Business Office Director or designated manager. Customer Service Representatives (CSR) must adhere to collection regulations as well as HIPAA privacy standards when communicating with guest. CSR must document all calls completely and accurately. CSR assists patients to obtain accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information required for billing and collecting on patient accounts.
