About The Position

Precision Cutting Tool Manufacturing company looking for a Customer Service Representative to work in our Warren location. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The role involves interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Job Knowledge - Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; uses resources effectively.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Perform customer verifications
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Process orders, forms, applications and requests
  • Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Manage customers' accounts
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
  • Record details of actions taken
  • Prepare and distribute customer activity reports
  • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
