About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for making every client feel like a VIP (Very Important Pet-parent). The ideal candidate will be a people-person and a pet-person, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Destination Pet offers a variety of services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services, with a focus on providing best-in-show care and making pets feel at home.

Requirements

  • Must be a people-person and a pet-person.
  • Solid communication skills (phone, in-person, email).
  • Ability to handle multi-line phones and computer systems.
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure and maintain professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
  • Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in customer service or retail.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming pet parents and their furry VIPs.
  • Answering phones and multi-tasking.
  • Touring new clients through the facility and selling services.
  • Ensuring up-to-date vaccinations are on file.
  • Managing check-ins and check-outs with efficiency and a personal touch.
  • Handling cash, cards, and balancing the end-of-day cash drawer.
  • Responding to complaints with patience and professionalism.
  • Escorting pet guests to and from their enclosures.
  • Keeping the lobby clean and welcoming.
  • Supporting other team members whenever needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
