About The Position

Preferred Septic & Disposal has an immediate opening for an experienced Customer Service Representative to support our operations in Bishop, California. This is a Monday - Friday in-office position working 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Starting pay will be $25/hour. The pay range for this job category is $25-25.50/hour. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, and at times loud, environment and the ability to multi-task while assisting customers on the phone and in person.

Requirements

2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail.
Proficient in 10 key, keyboarding and typing skills a must.
Excellent verbal communications skills.

Nice To Haves

Solid Waste Industry Experience and or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Politely greet customers in person and over the telephone and communicate concise and accurate information regarding services options, charges, billing, and contracts.
Listen for and identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services.
Confirm understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests.
Establish customer accounts and enter service type, pricing, billing, and other required information into the computer.
Update customer data in a timely and accurate manner.
Respond to customers’ complaints and take necessary actions to resolve their issues, including communicating with other department managers, dispatchers, and drivers.
Direct more complex customer complaint issues to the Office Manager.
Perform other administrative and clerical duties as required.
Inform drivers of any route changes/issues.
Maintain an organized work area.
