This person will be responsible for enhancing the customer experience by establishing new rental and sales accounts and providing exceptional customer service to call-in and walk-in customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a variety of tasks in an effective, organized manner
  • Demonstrate sales professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Display a high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Microsoft Office skills with experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Valid class 5 Alberta driver license with clean abstract

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction equipment considered an asset
  • Customer service experience in the rental business an asset
  • Experience operating a forklift and other equipment an asset; training will be provided

Responsibilities

  • Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies
  • Assist Operations Manager with service administrative tasks
  • Coordinate and track daily equipment pick-ups and returns
  • Work in a fast paced sales environment, providing helpful, quality service and sales
  • Service writing; providing equipment maintenance and shop service records
  • Assist with deliveries and preparing equipment for rental
  • Identify customer needs and react appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitors
  • Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
  • Answering customer inquiries urgently and efficiently
  • Picking orders
  • Putting away equipment and tools
  • Continuous inventory checks
  • General house keeping
  • General warehouse duties
  • Represent Northstar Equipment Rentals in a professional manner
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
