About The Position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the frontline face of The Armories. In this role, you will deliver an industry-leading customer experience by executing the full sales process while maintaining a safe, compliant, and pristine retail environment. As a subject matter expert on firearms, ammunition, and accessories, you will provide accurate information and respectful guidance in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of major manufacturers, models, calibers, and related product lines.
  • Strong operational knowledge of safe firearm handling practices.
  • Basic understanding of laws governing firearm acquisition, transfer, and sales.
  • Comfortable with basic computer navigation and learning new retail/compliance software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who excels at multi-tasking in fast-paced retail settings.
  • Must obtain an Armories-provided firearm safety certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, provide product education, and execute point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
  • Guide customers toward the right firearms, accessories, ammunition, and suppressors for their needs.
  • Maintain strict federal, state, and local compliance, including ATF Form 4473, Form 4, and background checks.
  • Assist customers with SilencerShop kiosks and Cerberus NFA processing.
  • Identify potential "red flags" and escalate suspicious or non-compliant purchase attempts.
  • Perform opening/closing procedures, complete inventory cycle counts, and maintain showroom cleanliness.
  • Work with teammates to meet sales targets, participate in training, and foster a positive culture.
