About The Position

This role involves entering customer orders and quotes into the ERP system (Cloud Suite Distribution) and providing support to the field sales team. Key responsibilities include quoting, order entry, tracking order statuses, and assisting with new part setups, sourcing requests, and non-stocks. The position requires proactive problem-solving, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and improving processes to enhance customer service. Utilizing the ticketing system (Zendesk) for customer communications and collaborating with other departments are also essential functions.

Requirements

  • 3 years customer service experience in distribution preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Effective individual contributor with the ability to successfully work within a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Communicate and behave in a professional manner at all times
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency with the ability to meet appropriate deadlines
  • Detail oriented and results focused
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Effective time management skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly grasp technical information

Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders and quotes into ERP system (Cloud Suite Distribution)
  • Provide support for field sales team via quoting, order entry, and order statuses
  • Assist field sales with new part setups, sourcing requests, and non-stocks with Corporate Purchasing
  • Proactively identify issues and provide solutions
  • Provide suggestions for cost savings, process improvement and enhanced customer service
  • Demonstrate product knowledge proficiency by utilizing all resources available to stay current
  • Utilize ticketing system for communications with internal and external customers (Zendesk)
  • Work closely with other departments to provide exemplary customer service
