About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Customer Service Representative for Bailey's Deluxe Pet Care. This role is for someone who loves pets and people, and can manage multiple tasks including phones, customers, and facility operations. Destination Pet is a community focused on elevating the lives of pet families, offering services like day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services.

Requirements

  • Must be a people-person and a pet-person.
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail is a plus.
  • Solid communication skills (phone, in-person, email).
  • Comfortable with multi-line phones and computer systems.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Willingness to be on your feet often (standing, walking, climbing stairs).
  • Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming pet parents and their pets.
  • Answering phones and multi-tasking.
  • Touring new clients through the facility and selling services.
  • Ensuring up-to-date vaccinations are on file.
  • Managing check-ins and check-outs.
  • Handling cash, cards, and balancing the end-of-day cash drawer.
  • Responding to complaints with patience and professionalism.
  • Escorting pet guests to and from their enclosures.
  • Keeping the lobby clean and welcoming.
  • Supporting other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
