About The Position

Provides customer service and sales support to the supplier base and internal company end-users. Join our team in Portland, OR, as a Customer Service Representative, where you’ll play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring seamless order management. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills beyond the basic level.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to successfully resolve problems and “go the extra mile” for customers.
  • Self-starter with dependability, accountability, and a drive for achieving goals.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree.
  • Experience in the metals industry, particularly in customer service, sales, or purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service regarding material and order status via phone and/or email.
  • Coordinate issue resolution between customers and internal departments (contract administration, purchasing, finance, plant, etc.).
  • Meet internal sales goals related to orders and customer service while monitoring progress toward those goals.
  • Create, update, and maintain reports regarding issues, orders, and sales results.
  • Perform order entry and prepare quotes as needed or assigned.
