Crossroads C&I is seeking an experienced CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE to fill a permanent opening on the order desk in our Coquitlam location. 3 years experience working on an order desk in a wholesale distribution environment is a requirement for this position. We are seeking a detail oriented, customer focused candidate with a mechanical aptitude and good interpersonal skills. Our order desk supports an network of existing, long term customers, so the ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship is key to success in this position. Crossroads C&I is a leading wholesale distributor of mechanical insulation products. We have a longstanding reputation for quality products and superior customer service. Crossroads C&I has been servicing BC and Alberta for more than 60 years and now has branches across Canada. JOB OVERVIEW The Order Desk staff is our first point of contact with our customers. A pleasant disposition and the ability to interact well with customers and coworkers is important for this position. This is a fast paced environment where you will interact with contractors, installers, suppliers and coworkers. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain professional behavior under pressure in person and on the telephone.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders from customers on the phone, e-mail and in person.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret customer’s requests, directions and schedules.
  • Answer customers' technical and product related questions.
  • Enter orders onto our computer system noting customers’ requirements.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Prepare quotes as needed under direction from our sales team.
  • Process returns and credits as required.
  • Work with other internal departments.
