About The Position

Concordia Medical Equipment is looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join their expanding team. This full-time role involves working Monday through Friday in a dynamic environment, utilizing skills to answer calls, process orders, and address customer inquiries. The position offers a stable income and a schedule that allows for evenings and weekends off. As a CSR, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, both in the retail location and over the phone, responsible for new patient intake, assessing customer needs, ensuring satisfaction, resolving complaints, ensuring order accuracy, coordinating deliveries, and verifying service authorization, insurance coverage, and reimbursement. Additionally, you will provide compression services, evaluate needs, and recommend appropriate garments and supplies. Depending on supervisor designation, responsibilities may also include negotiating pricing, placing special orders, and managing product shipping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service, phone, and typing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of customer service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

Responsibilities

  • New patient intake
  • Assessing the needs of both new and existing customers
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Coordinating deliveries or services
  • Verifying issues related to service authorization, insurance coverage, and reimbursement
  • Primary point of contact for customers, both in our retail location and over the phone
  • Provide compression services to clients and patients, evaluating their needs and recommending appropriate compression garments and related supplies
  • Negotiate pricing, place special orders, and manage product shipping (depending on supervisor's designation)
  • Answer phone calls promptly and assist customers in the retail area, effectively resolving inquiries on the first call
  • Minimize the use of hold and transfer functions, ensuring efficient follow-up and communication
  • Communicate clearly and provide outstanding customer service both over the phone and in person
  • Share the workload of phone calls, orders, and retail tasks equally with the Customer Service team
