About The Position

Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering phone calls to respond to orders, general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints. Project a professional company image through phone interaction. This is an in-person position in Enfield, CT and remote work arrangements are unavailable for this role. Your Role: Answer phone calls and respond to customer requests. Provide customers with service information. Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using computer systems. Follow up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved. Research billing issues. Research on misapplied payments. Transfer customer calls to the appropriate staff. Complete call logs and reports. Sell services and place customer orders on the computer system. Recognize documents and alert supervisor to trends in customer calls. Recommend process improvements. May provide training for newer customer service employees. Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards. Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs

Requirements

  • Highly organized
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and high-volume calls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years related experience.
  • Ability to learn customer service software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service and the refuse industry is preferred.
