About The Position

Our Customer Service team is looking for candidates with a customer service or project-based background and outstanding customer service skills. At Werner, you’ll engage with internal and external customers to solve technical challenges, support and manage our sales processes from point-of-contact to product/solution delivery, and drive business improvements through partnerships with customers.

Requirements

  • Strong Customer Service or Projects background required.
  • Strong communication skills – you must be able to effectively present information to internal and external customers in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Must be able to build and maintain business relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency required.

Nice To Haves

  • Any additional education is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Take and reply to inbound customer calls and emails to convert into Bids or Orders.
  • Send product demos to qualified customers on request.
  • Emphasize salable features, quote prices and credit terms, and enter sales orders for orders obtained.
  • Provide feedback to customers on adequate stock levels.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of vendor's production and delivery schedules.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Review reports of business transactions.
  • Work with Outside Sales to establish and coordinate customer pricing profiles.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable department by responding to customer invoice dispute issues.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
  • May purchase material directly from vendor.
  • Coordinate product returns.
  • Solicit special pricing from vendors.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
