About The Position

The Customer Service Representative is an essential, customer‑facing role responsible for assisting customers and potential customers with their everyday banking needs. This includes processing financial transactions, opening new accounts, answering questions, and providing guidance on bank products and services. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic understanding of accounting procedures.
Familiarity with office equipment and standard computer applications.
Strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in working with the public.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

One to twelve months of cash‑handling or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Process a variety of customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, ACH transactions, and wire requests, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting clients in person and by phone, resolving inquiries, and providing support for account and online banking needs.
Maintain and update customer accounts, including account maintenance activities, transaction posting, and new account opening support.
Balance and reconcile daily transactions, research discrepancies, and ensure all work is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
Support business growth and regulatory compliance by promoting bank products through referrals, adhering to bank policies, and maintaining strict confidentiality of customer information.
