About The Position

As a Customer Service Representative in Patient Registration, you will be the first friendly face patients meet when they check into the hospital. You will help patients navigate the registration process, answer questions with confidence, clarity, and compassion, and gather accurate information quickly in a fast-paced environment. You will build trust with patients during moments when they may be scared, confused, or overwhelmed. No healthcare background is required, as R1 provides comprehensive training and this role serves as a launchpad for a growing healthcare career. This role involves making a real difference by providing support and reassurance to patients, learning healthcare from the ground up, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside clinicians and emergency staff. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
  • Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
