About The Position

Norco, Inc. is seeking an individual to fill the Industrial Store Customer Service Representative position. This role is responsible for serving walk-in and phone-in customers. The representative will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, including their placement, availability, price, and use, and will sell welding and safety products and services. Key duties include processing customer orders accurately, researching products for special applications, following up on order issues, maintaining sales literature, and performing other assigned or necessary tasks. The role also involves managing a cash till, running daily cash reports, answering and transferring customer calls, stocking shelves, communicating special order needs to the Purchasing Department, issuing product sales quotes, and loading products into customer vehicles, all while adhering to established procedures, policies, and safety rules.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of all industrial products and gases
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
• Answer telephone calls promptly
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use
• Sell welding and safety products and services to customer
• Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
• Research products needed for customer special applications
• Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
• Keep sales literature current and organized
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
• Keep accurate cash till and run daily cash reports
• Answer customer calls and transfer customers if they need service from someone else
• Stock shelves when needed
• Communicate with Purchasing Department regarding any special order needs
• Issue product sales quotes to customers
• Load products into customer vehicle
• Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
• Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
