About The Position

Receives and bills merchandise, accepts payment, waits on customers, and assists the location manager by performing the following duties. Provides customer service in a timely manner via several means which include email, face-to-face interaction, telephone, and live chat. Bills products, receives payments, runs scales, and tracks inventory. Assists in resolving customer concerns, complaints, and issues. Assists the location manager with maintaining grain, petroleum, feed, and/or agronomy records. Accepts and records prepayment and bookings for products. Prices and processes payment for commodities delivered by customers. Removes cash and reconciles the amount of cash in the register at the end of the day and prepares deposits. Develops and maintains vast knowledge of the products and services being offered. Exhibits self-motivation and the ability to multitask and pay close attention to small details. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Must maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability at all times. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of grain and inventory software.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
  • May be required to maintain a valid CDL and commercial insurability by location manager.
  • May be required to maintain a current weighing license and grain grading certificate.
