About The Position

Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing a positive member experience and exceptional customer service to members, guests, vendors, and customers. The role involves assisting members with registrations and bookings, promoting facilities and services, and ensuring accurate transaction processing. Additionally, the representative will maintain the cleanliness of the facility and assist with various operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Some High School or working towards High School diploma.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid with AED certification from Jeff Ellis & Associates, American Red Cross, or American Heart Association required or ability to obtain upon employment offer.
  • Basic computer and phone skills.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Independent problem solving.
  • Ability to connect with a variety of people.
  • Work requires the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional public relations skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Must pass all post offer pre-employment processes and/or procedures, to include but not limited to Drug Screen, Physical Examination, and applicable Background Checks.

  • Some related work experience with customer service preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide positive and enthusiastic customer service to all members and guests by greeting members, guests, and attendees upon their arrival and departure.
  • Assist members and guests with program registrations and facility bookings through service desk software.
  • Actively promote and market all facilities, programs, services and memberships to members and guests.
  • Assist the Manager on Duty with facility walk through, counting down drawers, opening and closing the building.
  • Ensure all transactions and member paperwork is completed accurately and completely, and the data is entered correctly into the service desk software.
  • Ensure the residency and/or membership status of all visiting members is verified.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of fitness floor, front desk and main entryway.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Assist members with equipment and television issues as well as keeping the coffee bar stocked.
  • Provide tours for prospective new members and be able to answer any questions regarding membership.
  • Assist Customer Service Representative II with any additional duties and maintain equipment check-out and check-in.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
