About The Position

This position offers a hybrid schedule, combining on-site work at the Ruan Campus in downtown Des Moines with remote work each week. The Customer Service Representative ensures that loads are accurately prepared in the TMS for the Broker Team, which includes load building and acceptance, and appointment scheduling. This role involves direct interaction with customers and collaboration with the Account Management team to foster customer relationships.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED preferred or equivalent work experience
Logistics/Transportation/Business coursework
1-2 Years of experience in transportation or logistics industry involving dispatch and customer service.
Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.

Relationship cultivation and development is a must.

Responsibilities

Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
Appoint pick up and delivery of loads.
Utilize preferred communication and scheduling methods / platforms per customer.
Enters loads into the system, either by manually building or through EDI acceptance.
Alert customers to assessorial instances and operational occurrences as applicable.
Reviews scorecards with Manager of Business Dev. and Accounts along with Acct Managers in order to improve how we service each account.
Assist in trouble shooting OSD / Claims / RMA situations by providing factual, concise, collaborative communication between customer, appropriate Ruan personnel, Ops Manager, and Account Manager.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
