About The Position

Custom Fabricating & Supplies (CFS) is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role combines customer service excellence with proactive lead generation in a B2B manufacturing environment. As a key point of contact for customers and prospective clients, you will support existing accounts, process quotes and orders, resolve customer inquiries, and actively identify new business opportunities. A portion of this role involves researching prospects, conducting outbound outreach, and qualifying opportunities for our Outside Sales team to develop and close.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, lead generation, or a related role.
• Comfortable conducting outbound prospecting and follow-up calls to identify new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage prospective customers, ask effective questions, and uncover business opportunities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn.
• Experience using ERP and/or CRM systems preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and prospects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and maintain accurate customer information.
• Respond to customer inquiries and help resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure products and services are delivered on time.
• Gather customer requirements and assist in identifying the best solutions for their applications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records within ERP and CRM systems.
• Research and identify prospective manufacturing and industrial customers.
• Conduct outbound cold calls and email outreach to introduce CFS products and services.
• Engage decision-makers to identify needs, gather information, and qualify opportunities.
• Schedule appointments, introductions, and follow-up conversations for the Outside Sales team.
• Follow up on marketing initiatives, prospect lists, and inbound inquiries.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and business opportunities.
• Support company growth objectives through consistent prospecting, outreach, and customer engagement.
