About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform basic math, and good motor coordination for order entry and product preparation. The work environment can involve varying temperatures, exposure to fumes and dust, and working in confined spaces. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, and near/mid-range vision. Temperaments needed include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Most tasks are performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is primarily for paperwork. Lifting involves handling deliveries up to 50 pounds and stacking items up to 72 inches high. Carrying includes ingredients and pizzas. Driving is required for deliveries. Pushing is done for moving trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be infrequent. Stooping/bending is necessary at the pizza assembly station and front counter. Crouching/squatting is done occasionally for stocking and cleaning. Reaching is continuous in various directions. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and involve continuous use of hands for tasks like shaping dough, using tools, and grasping items.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
