About The Position
This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility daily. Training will be provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and co-workers, both over the phone and in person. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations for transactions, making correct monetary change, and utilizing verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing. Motor coordination for precise hand-eye movements and the ability to use a computer keyboard or touchscreen for order entry are also necessary. The work environment includes a range of temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing, stopping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and performing hand tasks with good hand-eye coordination.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add/subtract/multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
