About The Position

This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and verbal communication with customers and co-workers. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and using a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders. The work environment includes varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. The role primarily involves standing and walking, with some sitting for paperwork. Significant lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, driving for deliveries, pushing, climbing stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching are involved. Hand tasks requiring eye-hand coordination are continuous, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for tasks like shaping dough and assembling boxes. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.

  • Crouching/squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas.
