The work environment can involve varying temperatures, exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust, and working in cramped quarters. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, and depth perception. Temperaments needed are the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Most tasks are performed standing, with walking in short distances. Sitting is primarily for paperwork. Lifting and carrying involve handling deliveries up to 50 pounds, pizza sauce, and dough trays. Driving is required for deliveries. Pushing is done to move trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be infrequent. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are necessary for stocking and cleaning. Reaching is continuous for various tasks. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination for continuous use of hands, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping, and pinching for box assembly. Tools and equipment include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
