About The Position

This role is for a Customer Service Person (Bagger) at the Dorsett location. While not an official description, it outlines the major responsibilities a new hire can expect. The position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, managing their purchases by bagging them, placing bags in carts, and carrying them to cars. Responsibilities also include retrieving carts from the parking lot, maintaining store cleanliness by picking up debris, stocking bags, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and returning abandoned merchandise to shelves. Additional duties may include verifying prices and reading shelf tags. Training will be provided at the store level. Requirements

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Internal Candidates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management
