Requirements

  • High school diploma and experience in an office setting with 2-3 years proven success as a customer service representative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity or general aptitude for ERP system JDE is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
  • Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Receives customer orders, coordinates all purchase order details, enters orders into the database, and prepares orders for shipment.
  • Answer all incoming calls.
  • Answers all inquiries such as tracking, pricing, C of A's, shipments, credits, scheduling, cancellation, adjustments, quotes, warehousing, and any other information pertaining to orders, in addition to collecting bills of lading to create invoices and any of the above-mentioned paperwork.
  • Prepares Open Orders Report and reviews with Sales Rep and/or customer on weekly or monthly Sales/Customer calls.
  • Maintains contracts (inputs into the database and works with Product Managers and Salespeople to manage release dates for products).
  • Arrange and secure freight rates through TMS and collaborate with customers for shipments being arranged by them
  • Support sales with new customer leads.
  • Assists the assigned Salesperson to help satisfy customers' needs as deemed necessary.
  • Additional duties as deemed necessary by the Customer Service Manager.
