This role is responsible for preparing donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process. The technician will prepare and monitor the autopheresis machine, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors upon completion. A key part of the role involves maintaining awareness of donor reactions and accurately recording all incidents and data using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and the electronic donor information management system. The position also requires maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols (HSE and OSHA), and ensuring the confidentiality of all information. Bilingual skills may be required, and cross-training in other areas may be necessary. The role also includes performing other job-related duties as assigned.
