About The Position

AMERI-CANS is looking to grow its team with a full-time Bilingual Customer Service & Dispatch Associate for our location in Manassas Park. The Customer Service & Dispatch Associate is responsible for the company’s most important function, which is the delivery of excellent service to our customers. This role focuses on customer service, business development, and problem solving. You will be on the front lines, taking inbound calls and driving new and existing business, while facilitating the execution of all our staff and drivers in the field! Requirements

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.
  • Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, organization and planning skills.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, use proper judgment relating to customers & field team inquiries.
  • Reliability.
  • Experience with dispatch or route management a must.
  • A current valid driver's license.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; move fingers and hands, ability to stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch.
  • Perform the essential duties with minimal or no supervision.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Knowledge of ServiceCore a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Learn and leverage industry leading technology and software to manage enterprise operations.
  • Answer inbound calls.
  • Manage customer expectations, inquiries, and orders.
  • Business development; be the “voice of the company” as one of the first AMERI-CANS team members to interact with inbound requests.
  • Comfort and familiarity with office technology (Microsoft suite of products) as well as a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology in support of business operations.
  • Experience with dispatch systems a plus.
