About The Position

Greets incoming customers, answers phone calls, and customer questions and requests. Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Issue refunds, voids, or credits to customers with manager approval. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales. Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested. Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas. Complete general cleaning duties such as clean tables, chairs, and floors. Remove dirty dishes, set tables, replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware condiments & bread. Empty trash cans. Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Restocking and rolling silverware and assist with stocking stations. Answer questions related to drinks, menu, bakery and catering. Check with guests to make sure that they are enjoying their meals and be initiative-taking to correct any problem. Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen. Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers. Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen. Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
  • Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • Must successfully complete restaurant training course

  • Previous experience as a server preferred
