About The Position

The City of Jefferson's Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking a Part-time Customer Service Attendant. This position will work on an as-needed basis to provide extensive customer service to citizens and customers pertaining to The Linc Wellness Center, as well as other Parks and Recreation programs, facilities, and other City services.

Requirements

  • Ability to concentrate and input data with accuracy in a very fast-paced atmosphere with constant interruptions and noise.
  • Ability to perform numerical detail work with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships and interpersonal interactions with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Knowledge of computers and ability to learn specialized recreation program software.
  • Good math skills.
  • Use of office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and refer callers.
  • Answer various inquiries.
  • Provide information on services, programs, and functions.
  • Receive and process payments for recreation program registrations and facility, campground, and court reservations, and dog park permits.
  • Mail, fax, and photocopy.
  • Assist administrative staff with routine duties.

Benefits

  • $1.00 shift differential for each hour worked on the opening or closing shift.
