About The Position

Models and delivers a distinctive customer experience while operating a cash register and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Helps customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues, and answering questions. Supports store operations through sales transactions, merchandise stocking and presentation, inventory and record maintenance, asset protection, and compliance with laws governing regulated products. The role also includes photo-area customer service, web order pickup, store maintenance, and completing assigned training and other tasks.

Requirements

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of retail-environment experience preferred.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout and customer service.
• Recommend products, trade-up items, companion items, and promotional photo products.
• Operate the assigned cash register; process purchases, cash payments, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
• Follow asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, super structure, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Separate food items and place products according to company policies and procedures.
• Rotate consumable stock using first in, first out, and restock outs.
• Use store systems and equipment.
• Provide photo-area services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and use of the creative machine.
• Monitor Picture Care Plus web pickup orders, pick items, and deliver orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Help maintain clean, neat, and orderly interior and exterior store conditions.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete assigned training, PPLs, special assignments, and other tasks.
