About The Position

The GATE Express Wash Associate ensures customer service is the first priority for Express Wash operations by providing a safe and friendly experience for our guests. Addresses all guest questions correctly, promptly, and in a friendly manner, as well as provide customer service that exceeds their expectations. Responsible for facilitating an efficient processing of vehicles by following the correct procedure for every vehicle through the car wash. Must maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization at the facility.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 16 years old
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts
Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with customers and team members
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
Must be able to operate a computer
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach (including overhead)
Must have adequate strength, balance, and coordination to perform essential functions
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including endurance of temperature and weather changes outside

Responsibilities

Ensures customer service is the first priority for Express Wash operations by providing a safe and friendly experience for our guests.
Addresses all guest questions correctly, promptly, and in a friendly manner, as well as provide customer service that exceeds their expectations.
Facilitates an efficient processing of vehicles by following the correct procedure for every vehicle through the car wash.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization at the facility.
Operates the Express Wash kiosk, credit card machines, and POS.
Efficiently and safely guides vehicles through the car wash.
Continuously maintains and repairs car wash equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on car wash equipment.
Details vehicles as trained and directed.
Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization at the facility, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; stocking supplies; emptying trash cans; changing light bulbs; placing towels in dispensers; and changing paper and ink cartridges in the registers.
Checks every vehicle for it enters the wash tunnel to ensure that the vehicle does not have any visible safety issues.
Performs vehicle detailing services as trained and directed.
Arrives to work on time, consistently.
Arrives in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair. Wears safety goggles and non-slip shoes when necessary.
Attends all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings.
Reports any safety hazards, follows up that hazard has been corrected, and assists with providing a safe work environment.
Safely and properly handles chemicals.
Becomes proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features.
Maintains and contributes to a positive and supportive team environment.
Provides excellent customer service with prompt assistance and accommodations to guest questions or requests. Maintains eye contact with customer and smiles.
Facilitates a fast vehicle processing by following the correct procedure for every vehicle through the car wash.
Guides guests using distinctive and clear hand signals in accordance with established procedures.
Reviews the loading sign directions with every guest and gives the guest a “thumbs up” when their vehicle is placed and ready to start the wash process.
Learns how to perform minor repair and maintenance on car wash equipment and applies this knowledge when necessary.
